Senior Contracts Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the business line needs/requirements by exercising contract extension options and incorporating additional scope while negotiating the best rates possible with the contractor;
  • Achieve the set KPI’s in establishing the contracts on schedule and within budget;
  • Formulate effective tendering and contracting activities including for Front End Engineering Design (FEED), Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC), operations, maintenance, IT, sub-surface, marine vessels, etc.;
  • Ensure quality control of tender documents for complex and high value services, review technical and commercial bids leading to establishment of suitable contract;
  • Assess commercial risks and consider appropriate risk mitigation solutions to prevent any potential impact on the tender and contract delivery program;
  • Prepare tender committee recommendations for various stages of approval and get approval from relevant tender committee member for award of contract to shortlisted tenderer;
  • Conduct pre-bid clarification meetings/site visits and resolve all technical, contractual and commercial queries and demonstrate safety culture;
  • Understand and utilize contracting policies and procedures and recommend improvements for contracts procedures and practices to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of operations;
  • Provide specialist expertise in complex tendering and contracting activities;
  • Understand and implement all relevant supply and business control policies and procedures, to ensure all work meets required control and compliance standards;
  • Work with all stakeholders in the bid evaluation process, negotiate prices and contract terms with Bidders to obtain the best value for the Company;
  • Develop own knowledge and skills through attending in-house training programs and also share knowledge and expertise among the team;
  • Work as a team in achieving the team objectives to accomplish the department, group & Company objectives.

Additional Details:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Management discipline or another relevant degree;
  • 8 years’ experience in a contracts management environment within the oil and gas industry, specifically on drilling related contracts;
  • Proficient in written and spoken English;
  • Computer Literacy (MS Office) including working knowledge of business software programs, networking and SAP;
  • Technical knowledge in reviewing and preparing technical contracts;
  • Good knowledge in legal practices, contract laws and industry practices;
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal/external clients.
